Q. Do you find it easy to recruit graduates that fit the requirements of your business?

Q. Do you use professional training to unlock the potential of your existing staff?

Q. Do you actively engage with the education sector to create the skills you need?

Join our live debate about the employability of applicants today and how the Further Education sector can work in partnership with business to train local talent with the skills required by your industry.

This thought-provoking session will kick-off with a special Keynote from Emma Liddiard, the new Chairman of the Institute of Directors Kent Branch and Managing Director of Heart Radio – followed by an interactive panel discussion and a chance to add your voice to the debate. Panel members include experienced business leaders such as Paul Charman from Delphi Diesel Systems Technical Centre, Jackie Dearden from the Early Years Nursery and Nicholas Fowler from Deene Construction.

Exclusive networking for senior executives

In addition to the many free elements of Kent 2020 Vision LIVE, there are also two special networking sessions at each end of the day, designed to help visitors gain even more benefit from their time at the show.

The first of these is an exclusive Networking Breakfast sponsored by K College, to kick off the day making new contacts over morning coffee and a delicious hot breakfast.  Joining the guests will be champion skier Graham Bell, International Performance Director for The Ski & Snowboard Federation and the face of BBC’s Ski Sunday, providing valuable advice on achieving excellence in the face of adversity.

At the end of the day, visitors can relax with drinks and hot food at the Kent 2020 Networking Reception: Celebrating Kent Business. This informal evening event includes a fascinating talk about bucking industry trends from Jonathan Neame, Chief Executive at award-winning brewers Shepherd Neame – providing some unique insights into using quality, choice and innovation to stay ahead of the competition.

To cover catering costs, there is a small fee for both of these events (£20 and £25 respectively) but this is a tiny investment for making even more high-quality business contacts on the day.

Places at both events can be booked by registering online at www.kent2020.co.uk and selecting one or both of these optional elements at the second stage of the registration process.
