The Kevin Lynes Apprenticeship Scheme (KLAS) Charity Auction is now LIVE!

The Kevin Lynes Apprenticeship Scheme (KLAS) Charity Auction is now LIVE!

Bidding is now open for the amazing lots we have up for grabs in the KLAS auction, supporting disadvantaged young people in Kent that want to access an apprenticeship scheme to improve their skills and work prospects.

The auction will take place during the Evening Reception, immediately after Kent 2020 Vision LIVE 2013 on 25th April – but you do not need to attend to take part. You can download a copy of the auction catalogue and bidding form in advance by clicking here.

Sealed bids for the first group of lots can be placed between now and 6.15pm on the day of the auction and proxy bids can also be registered for the lots to be auctioned live at the Evening Reception if you are unable to attend.

Of course, if you want to be at the auction in person and experience the full buzz and excitement you can still book tickets for the Evening Reception by calling Bridget on 01892 820946.

All monies raised will go to the new Kevin Lynes Apprenticeship Scheme (KLAS), set up in memory of the late Kevin Lynes to recognise his many contributions to the county of Kent. KLAS is an enhancement to the existing Bursary Scheme for Apprentices, providing a special fund for the benefit of young people, resident in low-income households in Kent, who require funding to benefit from an Apprenticeship Scheme.

HAPPY BIDDING!

Note: You can still register for your FREE place at Kent 2002 Vision LIVE at: www.kent2020.co.uk

New Feature: Charity Auction in memory of Kevin Lynes

This year there’s a new direction for the evening event traditionally held after the main Kent 2020 Vision LIVE exhibition and conference…

To recognise the significant support and contribution the late Kevin Lynes gave to Kent 2020 Vision LIVE we are holding a charity auction in aid of the charity set up in his memory – The Kevin Lynes Apprenticeship Scheme (KLAS). An enhancement to the existing Bursary Scheme for Apprentices, KLAS is a special fund for the benefit of young people, resident in low-income households in Kent, who require funding to benefit from an Apprenticeship Scheme.

Support for the auction has been phenomenal, with over 20 lots donated – many of which money (usually) can’t buy. The right bid can secure some truly unique opportunities including:

  • A day making ice cream with Taywells
  • Cheese making with Winterdale Cheese
  • Behind-the-scenes tour of Chatham Dockyard
  • A day working with Kent Police
  • Private tour of HadlowGardens with their Head Groundsman
  • Group BMX session with a British Cycling coach at the new CycloPark
  • Fantastic wine lover’s tour with Chapel Down Vineyard

Plus a range of other great items on offer, including Hornby trainsets, tickets to Kent attractions and events, luxury hampers and even a stand at Kent 2020 Vision LIVE 2014!

To hold together what promises to be a fun and lively evening we are delighted to have the services of Kent’s most famous auctioneer, Clive Emson. In his own eponymous building at the Kent Event Centre, Clive will be running the bidding and keeping everyone in line, adding his own personality and humour to the event.

In addition to the auction, the evening will be a fantastic way for those that were at the event to unwind and reflect on the day and network with their peers from the Kent business community. All this in a relaxed atmosphere, with good honest food and a glass or two of wine.

Tickets cost just £25 + VAT, including dinner and drinks.

Book your place now by downloading a booking form at: www.kent2020.co.uk/application.html.
