A unique government-backed service for high growth companies, GrowthAccelerator, will be a key exhibitor at this year’s Kent 2020 Vision LIVE 2013 – speaking to Kent’s brightest businesses about how they can speed up their growth.

High growth businesses are key to driving England’s economy and Kent is no exception, with its vibrant and active business community. Just one year after its launch in early 2012, GrowthAccelerator is already working with many exciting and successful Kent companies to help them achieve rapid, sustainable growth.

GrowthAccelerator helps ambitious businesses to achieve their goals by identifying any barriers to growth and creating a tailored growth plan to overcome challenges and optimise opportunities. Each company then works with an expert coach who supports them with everything from access to finance, to creating a sales and marketing strategy. The service currently works with over 3,000 businesses from a diverse range of sectors – ranging from fashion to manufacturing, to tech focused businesses.

Kevin Nicholson, Growth Manager across Kent, explains why the GrowthAccelerator service is ideally suited to helping businesses that are already growing rapidly, as well as those who have the potential to do so: “Many businesses we work with have grown steadily since their inception, but there can be further opportunities to accelerate this growth which we can help them to exploit. Kevin is one of a team of hundreds of Growth Managers based throughout the country. These Growth Managers will identify the best plan of attack to help businesses overcome the most common growth barriers, which are usually around Leadership & Management, Access to Finance, Innovation and Business Development. Once they have worked with a business to create a detailed and bespoke growth plan, the company is ‘matched’ with an expert Growth Coach from a nationwide network of 800. Each coach is selected to have the right skills, experience and approach to ensure the business gets maximum impact from the service.

GrowthAccelerator is suitable for any company with high growth potential, with less than 250 employees and with a turnover of less than £40 million.
